ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Emily Jansen is a children's book author based in Colorado. Inspired by her daughter's curiosity and her own love of animals, Emily writes heartwarming stories that help kids better understand and appreciate creatures that are often misunderstood. Her debut book features Waffle the Friendly Ball Python, a curious snake who sets off on a

nighttime adventure and shows the jungle that being different can be something to celebrate. When she's not writing, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and caring for her pet ball python, Waffle.
