A lifelong nature enthusiast, Teri gathers most of her creative
ideas by spending time outdoors. She paints primarily in oils at
her studio in Niwot, Colorado or in Plein Air in the mountains
and farmland of the rural areas near her home as well as
flowers from her extensive gardens. After graduation from the
University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Fine Art, she
pursued a successful career in interior design, but also
continued to develop professionally as an artist. Her subject
matter includes birds, flowers, landscapes and still life settings;
all rendered in oils. “Whether painting a landscape, garden or a still life, I try to leave the observer with an emotional feeling of the moment and an appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us”. |
